INFO LOAD with Plain ASCII text field

Hello !

We have a kind of a document storage system here that is comprised like this :

  • A Windows 2000 file system with its typical directory tree structure.
  • Spread amongst those branches (tree) we have a huge amount of files (leafs).
  • These files are either JPEG files or Plain ASCII text files nicely formatted (monospaced font/printables).
  • JPEG files are the ones we scanned from original documents. Text files are the ones we dont print anymore. We print them ONTO THOSE FOLDERS and end users seem them through a web browser (we using HTML PRE TAGS).

I'd like to STUFF *ALL* of those files into a single QVW !

So I thought about using a INFO LOAD structure. Mayble bundling it later but for now need only to resemble the structure inside a QVW.

So far as we stay around with JPEG files, no problem.

However, how do I stuff the TEXT files ? I'd like them to open up as if they were a JPG , that is, I'd like their "image" opening up when I click on the "i" icon...

Would you like to see some examples of those files I'm talking about ?

  • A JPEG : http://www.des.online.unimep.br/au/pub/qvf01.jpg
  • A Plain ASCII Text file : http://www.des.online.unimep.br/au/pub/qvf02.txt

What do you think ?

Any ideas ?

Thanks !
