If condition is not working within ' '.

Hi,

I want to put one condition on if statement but that doesn't make any changes to the result. Could any one let me know what is the problem.

Example: if ( sometable='field' , count(distinct Somefield))

Where that field even we put some different data it remains the same.

Need Help.
