I have a Text object which I use to display an image. This text object is contained in a Container object which in turn is contained in other Container objects. When the sheet is displayed, sometimes the image is distorted. On the same sheet, the image will be fine in some containers and distorted in others. This is mostly true for web view. Any ideas on how to get the image not to be distorted?
Text object's settings
The Size of the image file should be right. If it is too big, then it will be distorted. Hope this helps.
Thanks
The image file itself is quite small. 17x17 pixels. I have spent a few hours adjusting the size of the controls to try to get something to show properly but no luck. The odd thing is that in some cases it shows properly while in others it does not. See image below.
Again this is for the document when it is displayed in a webpage. In QlikView Desktop, it generally displays correctly.
So we found something interesting yesterday while trying to work on this. We found that if mess with the size details for the text box in QV Desktop, the image shows properly in Desktop and in the WebView within desktop. But making these changes does not seem to change any settings in the .xml files.
We are using TFS, so all changes are saved to an .xml file. So instead of checking changes and having the deployment server build the .qvw file from the checked in .xml files, we manually copied our local .qvw file to the server. Then the image appears to display correctly.
So now, I am wondering, is there an issue with the QlikView TFS integration? What would the appropriate channel to address TFS integration issues?
Thanks,
Fred
Try Image Stretch->Keep Aspect
FYI, Qlik has acknowledged this as a bug. There has not been a bug fix yet.
