Impossible to hide sheets

I'm used to show and hide sheets depending on various values, but for some reason this option is now disabled in one of my applications. Under what circumstances can it be disabled?

I've checked the option Document properties -> Secutity -> Show All Sheets and Objects. Any other ideas?

Try to press ctrl+shift+s

This is toggeling the option I mentioned on and off and I can see that it works fine. But I'm still unable to select the Show option in Sheet --> Layout. It's still greyed out...

For a sheet you set the conditional show in General not in Layout
