Including contents from one document into another

Hi,

I have developed a document and now I have been asked to integrate that into another existing document used by management.

Is there any kind of checklist around so I don't miss anything when "transferring" that? Is there an easier way (easier than copying everything one by one, the script, sheets/ objects and variables?

Thanks a lot!

Best regards,

Hi,

I know there is something called "document chaining" to link documents - but the name is about all I know about it yet 😉

Could I use that concept to not have to integrate the entire new document into the existing one? That would be practical because some people should have access to that new one, but not to the old one (which is a management Dashboard, not intended for the divisions below management_level).

Thanks a lot!

P.S.: Ok, the concept is easy enough. The challenge would be: Can I combine "document_chaining" with a link or sth. that automatically opens one specific sheet of the document? The background is, the "operative" Dashboard can contain multiple sheets with all the infos relevant to each user of one division - but only a part of those infos would be relevant to management_users.
