Hi all! I am a Qlikview newbie so please bear with me 🙂
I have an Excel sheet with 5000 lines of complaints details such as customer name, employee name, date, etc. Let's call this "Data 1".
Another file contains 12 sheets of team listings for all employees (why 12 sheets? because the team assignments changes from month to month). Examples of data are employee's manager, team name, campaign, tenure, etc. now let's call this "Data 2".
I know how to load Data 1. But for each complaint data, I do not know how to get the corresponding employees' details from Data 2. I know this can be done using "index match"on Excel but I'd like to learn how to do this in QlikView, as I will be replicating this data model into other data sets.

When you need to match items between two sets we need keyfields so , have identical fields to have the same name in both the data sets thus an auto connect is established and you will be able to see the matching fields on the Qlikview Front end.
Incase you need further details plz share a sample excel and desired output so that we can compile the same
Please see attached for a sample data. The unique key I will be using is Employee ID. What I want to achieve is when I load the Monthly Complaints data in a Qlikview Table, I would like to be able to get each employee ID's team name, manager and campaign. I hope this helps.
