Hi Guys,

Am an newbie to Qlikview. I installed Qlikview personal edition on my machine and after a lot of work i finally executed my first report, now the problem comes here is how can i publish the report to other user?

Do i need to install Qlikview publisher and Qlikview Server?

Do i get a trial version or do i need to purchase for these both? and

also i want to know can i check my reports in offline mode on desktop?

Please guys waiting for your suggestions.

Thanx.

We are developing the report in desktop version.

So there we can see the reports.

not required any additional network to check the reports.

Hi Kiran

You can use Webview mode to test your report in your local environment and your local environment dos't required the network connection string.

with PE you can not publish and share to other users. you required valid paid license without that you can publish or distribute the reports.

Okay. Exactly what i mean is if i build a report in desktop version on my local machine and client wants to check the same report on his machine in offline mode without any server or internet connection.

With PE edition, other users can not see the reports u developed in your PE edition.

That's the restriction

Hi

Any user with the desktop version and a valid license will be able to open the document and view the report. Personal edition means what the name implies, you can only open documents you created personally.

However, there is no difference between documents created on personal edition or on a licensed desktop. They can be shared with licensed users, or published to a server, which can allocated licenses to users so they can view the documents on the server portal.

Hi Jonathan

Thanks for your reply.

Now just lets forget about PE, If i got a valid license with me and if client wants to check my reports on his machine(Desktop) in offline mode.

Can it be possible?

Thanks.

if the client had a valid licence then you can share the QVW file.

So the in the desktop version he can see the report offline

There is no much procedure involved.

u can share the QVW file to client.

He can open the QVW file directly in his desktop version.

This not required to publish in access point.
