Hi ,
We have done the setup based on the doc in the Qlikview Community. But when i am trying to access with browser it is working fine. When i am trying with the QlikView mobile client it is not showing any error as well not opening any document. It is showing as processing. but no results.
Is there any settings has to be changed in IPAD.
Currently we are using Qlikview 10 SR1. I came across documents in Qlikview 10 SR2 we can use html5 and there is no need for the mobile apps.
At this point we will not be able to updgrade the server. so i am looking at the mobile application.
It sounds to me like it could be an authentication issue. Make sure that the user you have indicated in the mobile client app has rights to the folder you are storing the mobile apps in. Then make sure you use (in my case I used a local user) thus: server\user and then all other settings.
Why can't you upgrade to SR3?
You should really push for the SR3 upgrade, the mobile client won't be any close to the HTML5 functionality.
Thanks ianmcgivern , I have security as per the documents in Community everything is fine. I dont think it is an issue with the security.
@ Thanks for your response Daniel Rozental , Users are very much intrested in the mobile client bcs of the classy look and feel compared to Ajax.... I really want to go for SR2. Now after your post i would prefer for SR3. But atleast i show the difference of accessing in mobile client vs SR3 to convince the customer. So looking forward to resolve the issue
You can show them the difference by accessing qlikview demo site in a public wifi.
Thanks Daniel,
I agree with you but the problem is i am not able to access the Qliktech demo itself. Atleast if i am able to acess that i can go ahead with your suggestion. I heard from some one but not in community as the Mobile client is only for iphone and it will not work in ipad. Is this true?.
I am accessing via wifi network. let me know if any suggestions atleast to acess the qliktech demo.
It is really frustrtating when it is working for one user and for the other user it is showing as logging in and processing beyond that in ipad browser(safari). Any settings has to changed in the safari browser
qlikviewadict - I can most detinately say that it works on both iPad and iPhone. It is not only designed for the iPhone as someone has informed you.
I strongly suggest upgrading to SR2 + if possible so you can take advantage of the Ajax Touch functionality/HTML 5 we have incorporated - you will only need to design one application this way!
Have you tried using http://website and also http://website/qlikview in the native app's URL? Sometimes I've found this to work even though one or the other is not the same QVS URL you type in a browser.
Also make sure you include the Domain Name\username in the settings if applicable, else try the workstation/standalone name\username.
Also, if you have possible DNS issues try the IP address vs. the Servername in the URL to see if that helps. If you still can't get things to work, please feel free to send Support an email describing your problem!

Thanks Michael Terenzi,
I have upgraded to SR3.
Is there any seperate settings has to be enabled for the HTML5/Ajax functionality in the Server or the Ipad. Since i am trying to acess the examples in Browser in Ipad still it is fit to screen.
1. In SR3 will it automatically fit toactual screen size or it has to be taken care wile designing.
2. Is there any additional setting has to change to acess via HTML5/Ajax itouch.
I have only the server updagraded to SR3 not the client. I have gone through the best pratices in the below link it was specific to SR2.
Any idea on SR3. Any documentation on Html5/Ajax touch settings and the design SR3 best practices.
