Is it possible to carry forward variable value when switching from one QV document to other?

Hi All,

I have two QV documents(QV1 and QV2) and each file have multiple sheets. Now, I have a button in QV1 wherein on clicking it returns a value 3 of a variable=vValue also i assigned an action 'Open QlikView Document(QV2)'.

What i want is: On clicking it I should navigate to QV2 and the value of the variable vValue should be 3.

I hope I explained what I want.....

Plz do reply if anyone has answer to my question. Your help will be highly appreciated.

Regards

Sagar Gupta

No, that's not possible as far as I know. It is possible to transfer state (i.e. selections) and apply that on top of the state of the other document. So maybe you can use selections in some way instead of a variable. Maybe add an extra table for just that purpose.
