Hi,

Yes you can do it with the help of macros, check for sample macros in below link

To do this you need to use a tool like NPrinting.  With this you can build a template in Excel and place data and images directly into your Excel template automatically.

There is more information on NPrinting on our website here:

Thank you. Wonderful information for new starters like us. BTW is it possible to do ‘Reload or Refresh’ dashboard via these macros? (I did see an example in your list). We hosted few reports in ‘Qlik View server’ for users. In general these reports refresh once in month automatically in server via scheduler. The requirement is to “allow these reports to refresh/get data directly from server” based on user request (instead of waiting on end of the month).

Typically you can have refreshes much more frequent - particularly if you

have a robust incremental load strategy.

To allow user triggered reloads you should look at using EDX to fire

reloads. Once you have these you can use a simple script or batch file to

trigger reloads. If you want to trigger from inside a QlikView app you can

either have a link in the app to a web hosted script (eg. ASP.net) or code

something in an extension.

Macros can do reloads, but are not always reliable on the server.
