I never heard about a function to set a default selection value or range of any object. But I would suggest you some workarounds. I would use bookmarks and/or triggers. For Ex. create a Button with a "select field"-action. Or create the same for an "OnActivateSheet" (sheet-Props --> Triggers) when entering and/or leaving a sheet. Same is possible for the "OnOpening"-Event of the whole application. See document props --> triggers.
