Hi Everyone,
We are noticing a strange behaviour in Single selected objects after upgrading QlikView from QV 11 to QV 12. We built an application (Complex in design and functionality) in QV 11 with triggers,Charts and Single selected objects and the application is worked without any issue till the QV upgrade.
Recently, we upgraded our server to QV 12 and noticing the single selected list boxes are getting cleared while opening the application. We tried multiple workarounds by clearing the complex triggers and On-Open triggers. However, we are still facing the same issue.
Issue is not recurring in case if we are clearing browser cache or removing last document state, but we are noticing single selection are getting cleared after ~15 to ~20 min standby timeout.
We are unable to undersatand the rootcause of the issue whether it was Trigger issues or QV12 issue or some browser issue or Cache issue. Could someone help us from this?
Thanks,
Jaswanth P
Hi,
Can you explain single selected list boxes?
Do you mean list boxes with the 'always one selected value' option on?
We are using these with QV12SR4 and using an on-load trigger and are not seeing this issue
Yes, the option which activates when you select one value in a list box.
We too using QV12 SR4 version and observing issue only for the few list boxes. My biggest concern is 'Why it is working fine when we removing browser cache and last document state'.
HI,
We also noticed that this issue is not recurring in QV 11 version. Is anyone facing this type of issue????
Please need urgent help!
Thanks,
Jaswanth P
That is a worry, have you faulted this through with support?
One simple fix might be to just recreate the objects and see if that sorts it out? Horrible suggestion I know but one worth trying
Thanks Davies,
We are planning to raise the issue with Qlik. We tried the option suggested by you but the result seems unchanged.
Do you think this issue can be related to Server side because it's not breaking in desktop version and in QV11????

Hi Jaswanth,
Are you on IE Plugin or Ajax? And if IE Plugin - is it upgraded to the latest version too?
We have seen strange issues with a QV11 Plugin on QV12 Server. (Which of course was purely our fault not having upgraded the IE Plugin).

Stefan
Hi Stefan,
Currently, we are using Ajax to test our reports and noticed this issue.
Should we try with updated IE plugin to check whether the issue exists in IE plugin too???
Regards,
Jaswanth P
Hi Jaswanth,
Sorry, can't say anything about issues in Ajax.
Another thing we saw is if you took over the .shared files with server objects - this also gave us funny things. The solution there was to, well, delete the .shared files.
