Issue with CALs

Hi all.

I've User CALs and Doc CALs. When I added my Doc CALs I created a group (from AD) and assigned the group under QMC > Documents > User Documents > Document CALs and also assigned the group under Tasks > Distribute > Manually.

The issue is that now have all the Doc CALs users assigned to the User CALs licenses.

Should I remove the user group under Task > ... and add users one-by-one under > Document CALs >...? I've tried before to only use the user group under > Document CALs >..but it seems not to work.

Thanks for suggestions.

Hi,

Cals cannot be assigned to group.

Group you will use to distribute application.

Yes, you have to assign cal one by one.

So I add the DOC Cal-users on by one. But do I need to add the group under Distibute and if so what kind of User Types should be used?

Hi,

Yes, for Licence you have to assign Cal by name.

But, for document distribution you can distribute to entire group at once.

One more question, should I uncheck "Allow dynamic CAL assignment" under Systems > License > General so that no one with Doc CAL will get any User CAL or is that impossible?
