Issue with Left join

  Hi,

When I left join Table 2 to Table 1  the Amount becomes null any particular reason.

Table 1                    Table 2

ID                               ID

Branch                        Amount

Dept

Date

Well it depends on a few things. If your table 1 contains all possible ID's and then LEFT JOIN every statement

i.e.

table1:

load *

from table1;

left join (table1)

load *

from table2;

left join (table1)

load *

from table3;

left join (table1)

load *

from table4;

if not, then you need to ascertain what is contained in each table. for instance you may need to inner join table1 and table 3 and then left join onto this new table table 2 and then left join table 4
