As long it is correctly configured no issues would be noticeable

I don't think whether there is any issue while getting data from source using ODBC. Do you get any issue? May be go thru some articles from Community

You could try first then ask either indeed. So, We came to know the new issue which you are facing. If you have Oracle installed in your machine try to connect ODBC Driver setting configure then Pull the data then check. Practice never end up in future ...
