Hi,
We have created different groups for having a drill down functionality in a Straight table charts. I am using Group A in one Straight Table chart X and Group B in another straight table chart Y.
If click on dimension of one straight table chart X its drilling down to next level.... but unfortunately the drill down is happening in the other straight table chart Y as well. The groups as dimensions in both the charts are not related.
Can anybody suggest a fix for this.
Regards,
Raghav
Hi There
I use this (to an extent) in one of my applications - I created the a group for "Time Period" - drill down thru Year to Day.
The Group ("Time Period") is then included as a Dimension in whichever chart/table I am using - and in doing so, I am able to drill down through all charts using this as a Dimension.

Hi Greame,
I am able to use the drill down and its working in most of the charts. Only issue I am finding is If I click on the drill down button of one chart the drill down is also getting enabled in one another chart as well. These charts are not way related to each other.
Wanted to know how to fix it.

Unlike Cyclic groups where currently displayed field is part of the groups properties, the position in a drill-down group is given by the current selection state so that the first dimension in the group with more than one possible value is active. It is therefore not possible to have "parallel" drilldown groups work independently.
The only thing I can think of it to detach the second chart - if you still require a drill down, maybe have a secondary Group..
hi,
I am currently using different groups in the charts..... there is no common field in both Dimensions/Expressions. I could'nt identify the problem ..... only one chart is behaving in this fashion.
