Label for totals

I have put in a formula for labeling my total (average) of quarters.  It is ='Avg '&Year.  However if more than one year is selected it doesn't know which year and just puts in the text Avg without the year.  What am I doing wrong as I assumed it would know the year the subset relates to?

You can try:

'Avg ' & concat(distinct Year,', ')

It would create:

Avg 2010,2011,2012

Or try

'Avg ' & min(Year) & '-' & max(Year)

Avg  2010-2012
