Learning R for qlikview experienced person

Hello Friends,

My department has decided to move all the applications developed in qlikview to R. I have fair knowledge of qlikview scripting but no knowledge of R. My questions are:

1. Is it possible to rewrite all qlikview code to R?

2. Where should I start learning R?

We don't require visualizations at all. After data modelling (which is fairly complex), we just need the data in excel.

Qlikview and R have different objectives/purposes.  it is definitely possible to rewrite "business rules" from QV to R.  I suggest dont approach it by rewriting code.  approach it by rewriting business rules.
