I work for a large company with sales representatives in the field. We are using Qlikview Server and Qlikview Publisher to load and distribute data. The users are Usercals. We receive data on a monthly basis and the Qlikview data is refreshed at this time. The users log into Publisher after the monthly load to receive their data.
My issue is this. Every 14 days the users have to enter a license key to revalidate with the server. Does anyone know how to prevent this? An application to support remote workforces should not have this process. This is a little crazy.
(as an organization, we have our own internal security to prevent data security issues. At a minimum, this should be configurable).
Sandy,
We have an almost identical setup. When our remote users connect they use a "borrowed named cal" from the server. I'm not the server admin, just the programmer. However, I do know that in the server you can manually define what user gets a named cal so it does not reset. This is in the "qlikview management console"
Thanks. I will check this out to see.
