Limits of $(= )

Hello QV Community,

what are the limits of the $(= ) function? What did I have to consider if I use the function?

Is it possible to store a complex expression in the database and execute it with $(= ) or did I understand this wrong?

Thanks for help.

regards

Bastian

In some cases it is interessant to replace a complex expression by a variable

In this case you just need to set the expression as =$(MyVar)

Of course there are some limitations, but generally you can use $() to replace complex strings in your expressions or in your script.

You can also use $() to refer to the value of a paramatered variable for example $($(MyVar)) Which is working fine.

I hope it helped you.

Regards,

Sébastien
