Linking Start and End Dates to Calendar Table

Hi There

I would like to link my fact table to my Calendar Table

Now this data would be to measure the output of each machine in a specified period for each Item.

What is the most logical way to link the data so that users can select a period correctly

these machines run intermittently

Fact:

Machine,

[Start Date],//***yyyymmdd***

[End Date],//***yyyymmdd***

[Amount of Products Manufactured]

[Item Code];

Calendar:

Date, //***yyyymmdd***

Month,

Year;

Hi Rido,

If you want to populate missing dates between start and end dates for analysis of products, please use intervalmatch  function or want a master calendar use Canonical date script.
