List all functions/Expressions

Dear All,

Is there any way to export/access all the functions/expressions through API? I had checked the API guide but I could not find much. I understand that the functions are available in the QlikView Reference documentation (PDF), but I wanted to list them in Excel/QlikView. Please can some suggest me how to access this?

Many thanks in advance.

Best regards,

DV

Hi,

I don't see any easy way to get this listing. You can both use the F1 help file to extract data or copy paste from the PDF Ref Man index. But I don't see any call in the API so you can get all the functions.

In the script editor, the function tab in the tool pane (the bottom part of the window) has all functions listed in a drop-down list. I am unable to copy/paste all functions from here. You may try to get the list from here if you want the names of the functions only.

Miguel - Thanks for replying back. That's what I had anticipated... but I just wanted to make sure from senior users before I go down the root of doing things manually. I'll play around with pdf to export in Excel or other programs.

Krishnamoorthy - Thanks mate. I understand that I can view the functions in the script editor and chart expression window. However, I am looking to import all of them to Excel & QV by using VB Script. But no worries if I can't do it.
