List box values in various tabs

Hi all,

I have two tabs with different kind of data and dimensions in my application.Because of QV associative logic, one tab list box selections(dimensions) are affecting the values of other tab list box values (they are getting grayed out).

Is there any way to avoid this behaviour in QV 10.I mean one tab list box selections should not affect other tab list box values

Thanks,

Chiru.

Chiru,

you could use bookmarks to store the state of one tab when you are leaving the tab and setting the state of the tab you are entering to a stored state. You can set / call these bookmarks with actions triggered by sheet triggers.

See this post for more details, Miguel has also created a nice sample app which is linked in this post:

Also, QV11 is out now.  It has a feature called alternate states.  This would allow you to have all the objects from one tab in State 1 and all objects in the second tab State 2.  The selections in one will not affect the selections in the other.
