If I have established contact with a SQL database, will changes in the database be automatically reflected in the QlikView tables, unless I physically perform an update? I'm aware of the incremental update process, but was wondering if there was perhaps another feature available.
The database I've connected to is quite large, and it already takes an enormous amount of time to load even selected portions of data into QV. I thought I could use QV to replace opaque SQL functions (where the user has to rely on DBAs to implement), but it's beginning to look to me like the fastest, most efficient thing to do is to break the data down in SQL before loading into QV.
