Lock does not work for users with limited access to data.

Hi all,

We have application with AD security applied - some users have limited access to data. There is also one lock on the value implemented globally. The problem is when users with limited access to data open their appliacation after Publisher reload they can not see lock on the value. Users with administrator rights do not experience this problem (means they can see lock). Any ideas???

I can only think of this sort of situation:
Restricted user gets only the data associated with a specific Region. This set of data maybe doesn't have all Type of Sales values or makes some of values unavialble for selection. Hence, select and lock is not possible.

Not enough info... I assume that the value that's supposed to be selected and locked is not available for some users (?)

Hi,

The lock is put on one of two dimension values: Type of Sales. An access restriction is for transactions for specific Region (which is other dimension) - means users can not see data for all other Regions (only for therir region). What I expect users should see data only for their region (and it works) and then lock shuld restrict data further for locked Type of Sales. Am I wrong?
