Lock results in tabel

Hi,

I have a few charts set up with different selection boxes corresponding to each graph. I have also set up a tabel for each graph which then lists the selected values. Now, I dont really want my users to use the tabel to view data, but rather lock it so that it only displays values. Since I am displaying several different values I cannot use a selection box, but have to use a tabel.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

Yes there is I remember now. On the general tab there is a selection box that should lock down the table. Might not work on all tables

Try to create the Text Objects to show the results and selected values.

you can organize the Text boxes as you need.

If I understand correctly you want a table that no one can make selections in? If so then

you could always place an textbox over the table (100% translucent with no boarders) and lock the layout.

that will do the trick, but it still feels like a dirty qiuck-fix (sorry to say). there is no way to just lock the tabel itself?

Just Detach the table by right click on the table and select Detach. You can find in the General Tab as well Detached or Read Only options.

Then your selection didn't effect on Detach Tables.

hi,

check with Alternate state. Set different alternate state to table and other sheet object so it will not affect any other selections.

I am not sure but may be it will work.

As I understand he still wants to see the selections in the table but does not want users to make selections in the table.

sorry, but alternate state will not fix this, since i will then still be able to make selections in the table.it is exactly that that i am trying to avoid.
