I have a requirement, my fact will be loaded every day with the data.
So I have to take the latest data in the report, for that i have a snapshot dt and one is active flg.
I need to check for latest snapshot ie. max(snapshot_dt) and check for the active flg=y, this is ok.
But now if the latest snapshot dt is having the active flg=N, then i hae to check for previous snapshot date and if its active_flg=n
thne i have to take previous snapshot dt...so on till i get active_flg=y and limit for checking this previous snapshot dt is distinct count of (snapshot _dt).
So i have to do this in qlikview while loading the data in qvds.
I was trying to write the SQL procdure for it but itys a long process.
Can any one please tell me how can i acheive this in qlikiview??
