Lost connection to server

hi

i have a problem when i open any app in the web using qlikview access point

the problem is there is a current selection box in each sheet in the app when i make selection and then clear this selection from current selection box

it lost connection to server and then reconnect so he free all selection and back to the main sheet or excute the trigeer which is apply on the document in open

there is a img attached to show the msg

Hi,

There are several settings you can change to see if that behavior continues. First, it's highly recommended that the client version and the server version are the same. So if server is version 9, clients (Plugins, Desktop) should be verion 9 as well.

But if you open the document and go to Settings menu, Document Properties, Server tab, there you have a "Maximum Inactive Session" and "Maximum Total Session". Try first with small values (3 or 4 minutes), save the document and access with a client and see if the timeout happens.

Then go to the QlikView Enterprise Management Console, System, Setup, QlikView Servers, click on yours and on the right part check Documents tab, and modify likewise the timeout so both in the document and server side are the same during the tests, and in the Performance tabs the values for session.

As I said, start with small values to leave them in 20 minutes. That means that the client shouldn't loss connection to the server during 20 minutes. After that, you will get the messages you are currently receiving.

I belive it was reported as a bug in v.9. Saw the same thing last year. Happens only with AJAX client, works fine in IE. Seems to be working fine in v.10.

The workaround for QV 9 is to do a righ click on the item to be deleted from Selections box and select the "Clear Ctrl-D" option from the drop-down menu.
