Maintaining Variable Value through Drill Down

Hello, sorry if this has already been asked but I have not been able to find an answer on it yet.

I am working on a document that measures the percentage of patients that die within 30 days of visiting the hospital. We look at it at the national level, and then drill down to the type of hospital, and then finally to an individual hospital.

What I would like to be able to do is compute this value at the national level (no filters applied) and store that value somewhere so that when I get down to the hospital level, I can have a chart that shows the comparison between this hospital and the national average.

I know that I could do the calculation at the national level then enter the number into an input box, but I would like to avoid that manual intervention if possible.

Any thoughts? Is this doable or do I have to go with the manual solution?

Thanks,

Nathan

I think that that did it. Thank you.
