Hi
I am new to Qliview Design/Development and was wondering if there was a way to use the Management Console (or other app.) to manage/monitor the Usage CALs that are available on the Server? i.e. how many have been used, what document is/was the CAL assigned to, when is the next refresh date etc.
Many thanks
The information is available in the QMC (management console) see image. Also on the Document tab you can see information about how Document Cals are assigned to the documents and users. On the user tab you can se information different users and what typ of license they are using.
Apart from this there are several Monitoring tools available to keep track of your QlikView environment. Try the Governance Dashboard available in the QlikMarket and you could also look for the Ops monitor (I believe is available in the Enterprise framework).
Thanks your instructions would help me to manage my User CALs. I am interested in managing/monitoring Usage CALs. Any ideas?
Ahh, missed the usage part...
The Powertool Qv User Manager 11 might be able to help you, the QlikView document stored in the extras folder of this PowerTool gives you an overview of your current licenses and how these are used.
Also in the Enterprise Frame work there is a QlikView document called License Analyzer that might help.
The PowerTools and Enterprise Framework should be available somewhere in the community.
