Mapping - Simple question

I can't make it work. VERY SIMPLE. New file. Copy and paste from the help file. Create a text object with the =ApplyMap(... and BLANK. It is always blank (-) ... there must be a SIMPLE ANSWER.

map1:
mapping load * inline [
x, y
1, one
2, two
3, three
4,
];

From the help text:

"Mapping tables will be stored temporarily in the memory and dropped automatically, after script execution."

The mapping table doesn't exist after the script completes. You cannot use a mapping table in objects.

SIMPLE ANSWER (I Knew there had to be one!)

Mapping work within the script at the end of the script the mapping tables get scrapped.

Thanks John! I did not see any answer and got searching better so we "published" almost at the same time. Your answer is the right SIMPLE ANSWER I was looking for.
