Master Calendar

Hai Guyz,

        Master calendar

I have a Register in which per Month Only one date entry is registered.

So If I have more than decade data wouldn't the master calendar generate all the dates between

mindate and maxdate. It Will be a lot of dates, Will it effect Size or speed of the process.

Thanks

John David

Hi,

To my knowledge, it should not affect the speed. The performance would be affected by how big the KEY is. But generally, I have found that master calendars do not slow down performance unless badly designed in the first place. I would recommend a master calendar that only has dates from the first time a date was used to only the latest date.

Hi,

It would be not affected by using this dates if you use the QVD of the Master calendar it will be much faster in comparison to the other tables.

Regards,

Anand
