Master calender?

Hi

Can any one explain me what is the use of creating master calender and how to create it. What is the business logic of creating master calender.

Please share your knowledge on this concept..

Hello,

The main purpose of having a master calender is to be able to link different kinds of data trough the date. This can be useful if you are using e.g a transaction table as source date but not on every day a transaction happened. So there will be some missing dates.

Basically what you have to do is defining your start and end date and generate all dates between like you can reproduce with the following useful example by Jason Long.
