My data has a DateTime variable—call it Dt-- that I need to chart against other categorial variables. I need to present the x axis to a future date (Nov-2013) even though the data is currently accumulating. Ideally, the x axis label would be MMM-YYYY format. I've tried several different methods but with limited success. Anyone have any ideas?
The crux of my trouble is in order to bound the x-axis the variable must be continuous. To resolve that we take num(Dt) to put it into numerical format however really doesn't present the MMM-YYYY date well.
