Merge Server Object into QVW

Hi,

Is that possible to merge serve objects into the application (qvw)? I can delete or control user access to server objects from QMC but haven't found a way to merge. Thanks in advance.

Yes, that's perfectly possible. Follow this path:

  • Start QlikView Desktop
  • Open your original local copy of the document published in the AccessPoint (a .QVW)
  • Open a second window in your Desktop by selecting File->Open In Server..., navigate to the AccessPoint file overview and open the published copy of this same document. Put the two windows side-by-side.
  • Copy and paste objects from the published copy back to the file version.

Note: if some other user has built interesting objects in the accesspoint, and you want to add those to the new version, you'll have to enter the credentials of this particular user when performing Open in Server...

Best,

Peter
