Merging 22Qvw into one


Hi,

I havea requirement where i have to merge 22 QVW reports into one QVW.

What could be the best approach for it.

Open Blank tabs and Ctrl+A,C,V. Before that make sure to bring all the data come into the main QVW file.

You provably need to analyze. is it straight forward, or design changes are needed.

Its not straight forword.different logic have been used in different reports.

i have to craete new datamodel and then do reporting whcich includs all the data reports from 22 qvw.

what could be the best approach.

i have to use logic used in all the reports.

Hi Monica,

Doing it the correct way would be to analyze all of the dashboard independently. You could come up with a spreadsheet. What fields are there, calculations, transformations, data sources. Look if this is feasible, you may end up with more than one dashboard also. Once you have things clear at spreadsheet level then you can move ahead. Looks like long way to go, much before merging, you identify what to and how to merge.

I have gone through similar situation but with 2 qvw. Stored tables in qvd and then I read those in to my new qvw. Try this if it is relevant to you.

This can be done in ur case..but in my case there are 22 qvw so its difficult to manage.
