Migration from Qlikview 11 to Qlikview 12

How do I migrate my Qlikview 11 application to Qlikview 12? What are the changes that need to be made. How is ver12 different from 11?

Some help would suffice. Based on that I would look additional resources.

To be sure you do not miss anything pertinent, I would highly recommend you check the What's New for each release in between the one you are upgrading from and to as well as the Releases Notes docs...  There are quite a few Articles out there as well, here is one that should help:

Upgrade Article 11.xx to 12.xx

That should cover things pretty well.  Oh, be sure you properly run things in a Test Environment before upgrading Production as well, see lots of folks skip this and generally that is when bad things can happen.

Brett

Hi,

you can install QV 12 by an upgrade of your existing server, it takes about 20 minutes.

Also you have to update the desktop clients.

Difference 1: only 64bit version is available.

In script or layout, there are not many differences, you can use your old apps.

Maybe you have to change some settings when do an execute, also now there is an error message if a applymap is wrong and there are some system variables to make it easier to script.
