Minimized combo chart also calculating

Hi,

I am facing an issue when I open on a particular sheet for the report then minimized combo chart is also calculating due to this sheet is taking long time to open. I checked cal time from Document properties (Document ->Sheet->SheetID->Memory ).

There is no macro in sheet and chart. No calculation dimension and caption and problem with only combo chart.

I am using SR7.

Have anybody experienced this issue.

What happens when you turn the calculation of?
You can do this by setting the "Calculation Condition" (General tab) to "1=0"

Thanks for your reply Yes we can do this, but why this is calculating as qlikview says minimized chart should calculate.

Should minimized charts not calculate?
Don't know about that.

But what you can do to solve this is to use the Calculation Condition with a variable (fe: vCalc) and set this on activation. That way it only starts calculating when you maximis it.

You can do this by making a new variable (Crtl +Alt+ V) named: vCalc

Then set your Calculation condition of your charts to: vCal=1

Then go to the Trigger Tab of your Sheet Properties, Select the Object ID of your charts and add an action on activation: Add: External >> Set Variable :OK
Variable = vCalc
Value = 1
