Multiple fact tables

Hi all,

I have multiple fact tables that can share many dimensions.

I have fact tables such as Student_Modules, Student_Courses, Student_Years and dimensions such as Modules, Courses, Students etc.

I have started to build a link table, although not sure if concatenating of these fact tables would not be more useful.

Any suggestions?

T.

P.S. I have read already about it here: Generic keys and here: Concatenate vs Link Table

Kindly provide your data model or list of fields from multiple fact tables.

Hi,

I think there is hard to help without some more facts.  But I would guess that LinkTable is a good choice.

I can recommend the book by Barry Harmsen - QlikView 11 for Developers, chapter 8

Hi Tereza,

It's hard to help out on this without fact tables details.

Okay try to concatenate or create a link table to avoid synthetic keys.
