Hi All,
I have to create a Block chart but i want to maintain the equal width for all the blocks.. but the block chart is spilitting the block into different block sizes.
Thanks in advance..
Any suggestions are much appreciated..
So you want the blocks to be of equal widths, and only have different heights?
Sorry i want equal width and height both.. basically same bloack area for all the blocks..
I think the only way to be able to do that is if whatever expression you're using produces the same value for each dimension, otherwise the blocks size according to the relative values of the expression.
Perhaps another type of visualization could be helpful? What are you trying to do?
You could take groups of text boxes and lay them together, maybe as an alternative?
Actually my expression is 1 so in that case all my blocks should be of equal size... the requirement that i need to do is something like the block chart.. so i have started doing that.. if you any ideas please share...
Could you share a sample qvw? I'm playing with an example now, and you can get them to all be the same size by resizing the chart area
Really sorry to say that the data i have is highly confidential.. i am attaching an image of it.. Thanks very much for your help.. could you please try to post your coments based on the attachment i have provided..
Honestly, with a block chart and that many blocks I think it may be nearly impossible to get them to all be the same size. Using text boxes to do something similar is a good option. Or maybe some other way would be possible too.
Are you just trying to show the names of all the fields in a somewhat appealing way? Why is a block chart necessary?
Actually i have the other aggregations are will be soon added to the chart.,. but my intension is to get the equal block size so that i can add my calculations at the next point.. i can make text objects but that way of implementation i s not recommended here ..
may i know if there is anyother way of representing the data in equal blocks?
