Number formatting limit?

Hi,

I have a field "Value" with numeric values and some of them are huge like 128786317741603 (15 digits). If I create a tablebox or a list in QV to see the value I get this: 1.28786317741603e+14 (no problems here, just scientific notation right?), however if I use this field in a simple expression like sum(Value) the result is displayed as 0! That's wrong!

I have tried to change the format of the expression but without success. Can someone help me, please?

Regards,

Cesar

Thanks very much for the usefull links, the solution I have found was to load the fields using the function Evaluate().

Hi,

Thanks for your reply and suggestion, I will check with my client the feasibility of doing that. Is this a limitation of QV? The number of digits to be used in calculations? If so, where can I find more information?
