ODBC connection error

Hi,

I'm creating a new .QVW and I have my odbc setup in ODBC System DSN ( I know that it works because I am able to connect using MS Access)

and if i go to into QV Edit Script I'm able to hit connect select my Data Source and signon to the iseries ODBC ( CONNECT TO DATA1x; )

but as soon as i try to Select i get an error.

if i upload the Data into MS Access and link it that way I am able to import/reload in QV.

the problem in that i have too many records and access has a limit.

also if i connect to ( CONNECT TO DATA1x; ) and just hit Reload without hitting Select first i get this error

SQL##f - SqlState: 28000, ErrorCode: 8015, ErrorMsg: [IBM][iSeries Access ODBC Driver]Communication link failure. comm rc=8015 - CWBSY1006 - User ID is invalid, Password length = 0, Prompt Mode = Never, System IP Address = 192.168.0.1
ODBC CONNECT TO EASTERN

any ideas on what i should do.

please let me know

thanks for your help!!!!

Try installing the new QV10 SR1 release of QlikView and see if it works correctly. I recall seeing some ODBC connection issue in the Initial Release if my memory serves me correctly.
