Objects change size in different machines

Hi,

Recently we have developed a Qlikview App with 11 SR2 version and we have detected a strange issue with objects size.

If we open the same document in different machines, objects have different size. The machines have different resolution but we haven't changed zoom of the doc.

We have also done a simple test with a document with only 2 text objects. In the laptop where we have created QV document, the first text object has 960x610 pixels and the second one 1024x768.

But in another machine, if we open the same document and edit text object properties, the first one has 768x488 and the second one has 819x614.

The same occurs with QV 11.2 version.

Has anyone had this problem or have any solution?

Regards,

Pol

It's possible that your qvw was saved with "Fit Zoom to Window" or another zoom setting on.  Open the document, in the menu View, Zoom, 100%. Then save the document and see if it fixes the problem.

We did figure it out. It seems to be a problem with windows, and somehow QlikView interacts with it.

You can change the size of windows from 100% to 125% or higher. And for some reason when someone opens the qlikview document, the objects change in size. For example a selection field is normally 250px suddenly becomes 316px. The background stays the same.

I've run across that before.  I used to use a small laptop where I set the windows display option to 125%.  QlikView applied that magnification to sheet objects, but not the sheet backgrounds.  Turns out I was carefully lining up 125% sheet objects on a 100% background.  When the app was viewed on a normal 100% machine (my client unfortunately) the objects no longer line up with the background!
