Open External PPT file through Qlikview with QMC

Hello Experts,

I have an external Power Point file in server, rewhe I installed QMC. I can download this file @ Accesspoint with the help of Open URL -> http://Servername/Virtualfolder/filename.pptx. link.

But now my requirement is I want to open the same document with the help of Action -> External -> Launch option.

How do I achieve it?

Hi Prasanna,

Try like this

Action -> External -> Launch

For application give Powerpoint exe file path

Example; C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14\POWERPNT.EXE

For FileName give PPT filepath

I followed the same steps which you suggested, some how it is not working 😞

Steps I followed:

Application : C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14\POWERPNT.EXE ( But I do not have MS Office on my server. Do I need to have  office?)

File Name: C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\SourceDocuments\Test.PPTX

Parameters: -

Working Directory: -

You should have Powerpoint installed then only it works.
