Open a .qvw created with personnal edition

Hi all,

I have created a .qvw on personnal edition. So , now i want to open it with a licenced edition. It dont' works. I understand that it can works in the opposite way, but not in this way!

Is there a workaround for open my qvw??

Yes, it is other way around.

If you still have issues opening the app, I'd say open that .QVW into Qlik Sense Desktop.

You can convert your qvw app in qvf thru Dev Hub-Convert App.

It would store your charts into master items for visualization plus your script.

Or only if you want to get access to the script, just drag and drop your qvw into Qlik Desktop and access the script.

Remember that any QV Desktop installation with a leased Named CAL can lose that license lease and return to Personal Edition mode. On the QV Desktop page, check the License Information dialog to check that your licensed QV Desktop is still... licensed.

Thanks, but i don't have Sense.

Ok, but if i lose the licence i can fetch it again on prod server? of course if i have a named user CAL.

Yes, if you still have a Named CAL assigned to your user account, just use File->Open in Server... again to renew the license lease.

Normally, this should happen automatically and in the background. But there are various reasons why this behind-the-scenes operation may fail and you have to repeat it manually.
