Opening licensed server qlikview files in downloaded personal edition

Dear Member,

I am working in Production server where we have qlikview license. And there are some qlikview applications developed in the server.

Now i downloaded a qlikview personal edition and i connceted to server. I am just able to open the files but not able to do any modifications.

Is there any way to open the licensed qlikview  files  which are in production server and do modifications in personal edition. Please help me on this.

I dont think, it is possible to open other qlikview app in personal eddition. there is one way you can try that.

Install the qlikview in new system. I think there are 5-10 attempts that you can open other documents

So we cannot open any qlikview file right.

When i downloaded a qlikview personal edition i connected through the server and i am able to open the qlikview file which are in server.

But i am not able to modify it. Is there a way to do it?

It seems it is not 😞

You can't modify files if you use "Open on server" dialog.

To modify files on server you should have:

- Named License on server associated with your account

- Direct access to the qvw file (network share).
