Parameterized query to get data from any database

Hi, How can we write a parametrized dynamic query which can take user inputs and run the query against any database and retrieve results. To be more  specific, I am trying to provide drop down boxes on the main tab where a user can make his selection and that would be passed as parameters to my neo4j cypher query and then run query to get the results based on the selections made.
