Passing Values from One QV Doc to other QV Doc

Hi ,

Is it possible to pass values(or Variables or possible values or current selections) from one QV document to other Qlikview document. I will select one particular row from a chart(Straight table) in first QV Document. So the corresponding row values should be collected in Variables and pass to Next Document(When i click on button)

Suppose, I have a chart with columns like Row Number, Region, Country, Currency and i select particular row=2(only one row), the corresponding values North America, US, USD are collected in variable using Concat({$} Region,',',1) etc...

Now these values should be passed to Other Qlikview Document when i click on Button "Show Details". Is it possible?

It's possible to pass selections from one QlikView document to another.

If you have two documents with matching dimensions (or at least one matching dimension).

Set up a button, or text object and add a trigger.

Set the trigger action to External .. Open QlikView Document. Put in the name of the qv doc to be opened, and make sure that the 'Transfer State' checkbox is ticked.

I'm not sure whether it's possible to pass variables however...

I could not able to pass them with "Transfer State". I have some fields common between both the QV Document.

Ok are your field names exactly the same? Are the values you have selected in the first document present in the second document?

If so, upload your qvw's and I'll take a look.

Yes. Those are exactly matching and Second document has selections previously, so need to remove those and select the new values..!! Each field is having same values in both the documents. It seems I opened both the documents and trying to pass the selections from one Document to other Document. If i close the second document and tried to pass, it is working.. Thank you.
