Performance problem on opening QVW

Hi,

we´re facing a performance problem with one application. This application just serves to analyze the data coming from SAP BW.

Datamodel is not too complex, after reload existing of one table with about 120 million rows and 118 columns. Problem is, that it takes about 10 minutes to open it. Even if I only have an empty sheet with no objects, so no frontend at all it takes the same time.

No triggers, macros or reports!

I hope someone can help!

by the way the "real" application with analysis is about 3,5 GB with many analysis in it and we don´t have any problems. Server is 132 GB, 32 Core

Will it make any difference if you make the app preloaded?

yes a little bit, but unfortunately preload only helps the second user opening the file. First user has always the long waiting time

No if it is preloaded the app is loaded into memory.

The only thing the second user could benefit from is the set analysis caching if the first user has made a couple of selection.

Verify that the preload actually works.
