Hi
I'm using Qlikview 12 PE. Each time I restart my machine, I am prompted to recover Qlikview files that were created on the same machine using the same user account.
I am down to my final recovery, and want to ensure that I'm not doing something wrong to have this issue in the first place.
Any help would be welcome.
Dear Midhun,
This issue is coming to you due to either you have created QlikView App with another version or you have uninstalled QV12 and again installed QV12 or you have installed fresh window and QV12 and opening QlikView App.
Please note, recover QlikView Files option is limited. After some recoveries you will not be able to recover your QlikView App. Then you need Licensed QlikView to open the same document.
Kind regards,

Hi engishfaque and hirishv7
The machine I am using had a previous version of Qlikview. The machine was configured on a different domain.
Once the domain was changed over, I uninstalled the previous version of Qlikview and installed version 12.
I created a new Qlikview App with the new version and then configured all my reports. Now, when I restart my machine, it constantly prompts me to recover the file.
I am aware of the fact that if it was created by another user on another machine, that I would need to use a document recovery attempt, but since this is the same user, same machine I don't understand why this is happening.
Hope this makes it more clear?
Kind Regards
Midhun
try to degrade ur qlikview version..which u hve previous...
Hi,
look into this,
Please read carefully: Technically, every document is now saved with a user key -- information that ties that file to the file's creator. In Personal Edition, users can only open files that they have created.
We recognize that it may be necessary to install QlikView on a different computer (i.e. computer upgrade, replacement, etc.). In order to open documents created using the previous installation of QlikView, you will need to "recover" the files. Recovering files simply means that you are assigning an updated user key (old machine -> new machine) to these documents. When you recover a file, you are telling QlikView that you are moving this file to your new installation, and you will no longer be using it on your previous installation.
So i hope one solution is to get the license lease From server,
